Ultrasound of abdomen to check for any abnormality in liver, spleen and kidneys.
X-ray of chest. PA view.
Blood test (CBC).
Urine test (RA/ME EXAM).
Dental, to check an dental problems especially cavity or non functional teeth (minimum 14 points).
Surgical, here limb shape, orientation, development of limbs are checked, also knock knees, flat foot, carrying angle of elbows are checked, finally your anus is checked for any tag or abnormality and your penis and scrotum sac for abnormalities in testes or hernia.
Medical, here your height, weight, BP, Heart rate, chest size is checked. In some cases doctor might ask you for PFT, ECG or 2D ECHO.
ENT, here you have sound test for ears, where you are made to listen to various frequency of sound with descending volume three times, it generally starts from (250hz, 500, 1000, 2000, 4000, 8000hz) for both ears separately, also ear wax is checked. Nose is checked for DNS especially, throat, just to check your tonsils and that you don't have an infection.
Eyes, here you are to go through a long list of tests, firstly refractive errors is checked, eye pressure, letter reading, color blindness test, field test, squint eyes test, retinal test.
These things are for ARMY, for air force additional tests are conducted.
Full body MRI and CT scan, spinal x-ray to root out any smallest defect, sitting length, thigh length, eyes, they have to undergo Martin lantern test, no specs.

My self gave medical for OTA. We were recommended from 17 SSB Bangalore, we were 8 candidates, our medicals started immediately the next day.
Day 1 ---> venue - command hospital air force, Bangalore, we reported to hospital by 8, there were also candidates from different entries because Bangalore board consists of 3 SSB boards, 1 for NAVY and 2 for ARMY. We were asked to report empty stomach, everyone is asked to attend medical day one with empty stomach for ultrasound. Today we had to undergo 4 tests, blood, urine, x-ray and ultrasound.Blood and urine test was done quickly . After giving blood and urine, we had our chest x-ray . After this we had ultrasound.
Day 2 ---> the next day we had dental. Then we had surgical, everyone was asked to remove everything except underwears, After looking at my hands, shoulders, the doctor asked me to turn around and touch my toes, after this he asked to remove underwear and spread the butt cheeks, then turn around and cough.
Then we had eye checkup done. There were all in all 8 tests done. First was to check refractive errors, there is a machine were you keep your head still and look at an image of house which would sometimes be blur and sometimes very clear, we were given a small slip which noted the readings, no one knew what the values meant, but, still we saw each other's slip. Then we had eye pressure test, same thing as before but here you look at a green light and suddenly a burst of air will come that's it. After this we were asked to read the alphabets, and had color blindness test, then had test of squinting eyes, at last had a field test, where you close your eyes, look straight to the doctor and he points random numbers in fingers at different areas away from your straight field of view. The eye doctor checked us again in all this and even had a retina test, later we all were asked to be in a Hall and were administered some eye drop, soon we weren't able to read anything within 2 feet from our eyes , with this we again had retina test in dark room and we came out of eye Dept.
Day 3 ---> we had out ENT today, just checked for ear wax checked nose, throat
Finally my report came in, everything was normal in blood. After this, I went ight to medical division. I was 1 kg underweight for my height of 180cm, chest was normal, BP was abnormal but the doctor adjusted it to normal. A doctor checked everything but asked me to do a PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) and PEFR, both were normal and I was declared fit.
My file was submitted at SMB office which was to be signed by SMB President, I was elated to see the final stamp of FIT in my file. Got sign from president.
Later in the evening I moved out, as I had my train scheduled.
