1. Buy a book on SSB preparation which you feel is good.
2. Read through the various Day 0 to Day 4 testing procedures in detail and get an idea of the full SSB process.
3. Read experiences JUST for the sake of knowing the procedure and not getting influenced by someone’s performance. IT VARIES from individual to individual.
4. Do practice Group Discussions with your peers on general and abstract topics.
5. Download the PIQ : Personal Information Questionnaire from the join indian army website Archives and fill it up according to your own details to be prepared when you have to fill it at the SSB centre.
6. Talk to recommended candidate friends who will guide you better as far as interviews are concerned.
7. Practice Writing stories, writing sentences, giving reactions and preparing self description that required for the psychology tests. It will make sure you don’t go blank there.
8. Ask any officers you know or some experienced elders to take your interview so as to make you comfortable with the ‘being questioned’ phase.
9. Never give up a positive attitude.
10. Lastly, be honest in your reactions and answers. Honesty will always land in the correct place.
