The order of the speech should be introduction, body and conclusion.
Introduction – ‘Well begun is half done’. Therefore make a good start by arousing the interest of the audience in what you are going to tell them. At this stage introduce the subject with a brief reference to its importance. Devote not more than half a minute
Main body – In this part, cover the salient points with facts and figures. Put across your message in the most interesting fashion. Devote maximum time to this part.
Conclusion – This should start when the 2 ½ minutes buzzer comes. Briefly sum up the points covered and thank the audience. Devote less than half a minute to this part. When 3 minutes buzzer comes, you can finish by telling a few words of conclusion. (you have to be attentive for the 3 minutes buzzer. Otherwise few candidates, by virtue of their speech concentration, they fail to head the last buzzer, resulting they continue to give lecture, till it is interrupted by the GTO, which goes into the disadvantage of the candidate. Slow down when you come to the end so that the audience knows that you are now finishing your speech.
