Personal Interview

NERVOUSNESS WHICH ONLY LEADS TO CONFUSION IN THE PERSONAL INTERVIEW. HOW TO AVOID IT?

  • Nervousness – It is observed that the candidate generally feels nervousness before he enters the interviewing hall. It is a natural phenomenon that everybody feels nervousness while going to face an interview, which is a deciding factor for his selection for the job for which the candidate is the aspirant.  But the candidate should know the nervousness is a major shortcoming in a man specially in a person

who is being tested for an officer in Armed forces.  Furthermore the nervous candidate loses half of the battle automatically.  He can not show his netter performance.  It is therefore advised that the candidate has to console his mind that the nervousness will not pay anything to him.  However the boldness and naturality will only be helpful to make the interview creditable.

  • Do not show a gloomy look on your face while you are being interviewed. Always have a smiling face.

  • Being your normal self even during a stress interview and answering the questions with clarity, forcefulness assertiveness and imagination is what most interviewers expect from you.  Any show off without substance is bound to fail.

  • Confusing – Candidates sometimes do not clearly grasp the complexity of the question by viewing simply at its surface and getting mixed up or going off the target.

For Ex: If you are asked a question on present Electoral Reforms, you concentrate first on evils in the system and then suggest means to overcome.

Do not shift your ground while answering, it may give an impression that you are a person of vacillating tendency, who shifts his position or trend of thought and decision.
