- We are all cool and calm enough under ordinary circumstances of life. But real test of a leader’s personality lies in his facing a stressful situations with courage and confidence.
- When faced with a stress, many of us start sweating and trembling. Quite a few of us become incapable of thinking clearly when faced with stress. Many others fail to put across their ideas coherently.
- The life of a military officer is full of dangers and stresses. Presence of enemy in his vicinity is only one of the many sources of stress for him. Often he has to pass through thick, dark jungles, perform sentry duties on the isolated mountain peaks, spend nights in vast and wild deserts. All these factors are the sources of causing fear to him.
- The interviewer, therefore, has to check to what degree a candidate has the inner strength to put up with such dangers.
