GTO TESTS - LECTURE : PRESENTATION AND POSTURE REMAIN IMPORTANT FACTORS TO IMPRESS THE GTO ...

  • You can start like this : “Respected GTO. Sir and Gentlemen, I have the honor to select the topic….”
  • Speech should be calm, smooth and undisturbed.
  • Shake off all fears and face the audience boldly.
  • Speak with full confidence.
  • Give an analytical and critical approach to your arguments.
  • Have a proper frame of mind about the subject on which you are speaking.
  • Be practical and matter of fact and avoid preaching or sermonizing.
  • Look straight into the eyes of the audience.  Let each member think that you are speaking to him. Don’t look down, right or left. Avoid unnecessary gestures and overacting. Never look at the GTO.
  • Don’t be conscious of yourself.  Your subject should be the centre of your attention and that of your audience.
  • Stand in a composed, dignified and relaxed manner. Do not still.
  • Avoid all mannerism including unnecessary movement of your hands and legs.
  • Avoid slovenly appearance produced by folding the arms, standing with crossed or hands in pocket.  Hands must be free for any natural delivery.
