- Do not try to act smart with the IO. He is the only person in the panel of assessors who talks to you for more than 40- 50 minutes continuously, related to your personal life, goals, attachments, success, failures and what not. He can convince GTO if your GTO marks are less, only if he finds you mentally stronger. Also, he's smart enough to know whether you are lying or not.
- Never try to escape a personal question saying “I do not remember.” How can you forget something about your own life?
- While answering current affairs or other questions, if you don't know the answer, just say no. Nobody is a Google. You're not supposed to know everything. Instead, if you try to act smart and try to make a guess or say “I know but can't remember”, it’ll make him doubt your honesty.
- The IO will try to make you comfortable so that you speak your heart out. But, never get over-friendly. Maintain a formality.
