WAT

SSB PSYCHO TEST - WAT: HOW TO BEHAVE / REACT AND THE TECHNIQUES OF WRITING WAT

WHILE REACTING TO THE GIVEN WORD, THE FOLLOWING ARE TO BE FOLLOWED:

  • Be patient, steady and unnerved.  Do not get excited or worked up because you are unable to form/complete a sentence. Concentrate on the word in hand rather than worrying about your past performance.
  •
  • Two types of words are given – Positive & Negative.  It is easy to make the sentences of positive words with positive thoughts. While making the sentences of negative words, the candidates are advised to give the positive thoughts which carry constructive approach.
  • The reactions of each candidate are peculiar to himself. They are influenced by his environment.  The same word may arouse different ideas, emotions, feelings and reaction in different persons. Therefore candidates are warned not to memorize haphazardly the readymade, word reactions.
  • Write the action oriented positive sentences relating to your own environment/actual real happenings of your life or you should physically involve yourself in a particular imagined situations of the given word

Ex:  Discipline – Discipline is the backbone of the army.

Your reactions to the above word are not natural.  They reveal that you have shown only borrowed ideas, not your own.  These reactions are not at all spontaneous. It reveals that you have crammed up certain reactions which may or may not fit in your real personality. This may ultimately lead to your rejection.

  • Candidates are warned that the psychologists are especially trained in detecting whether a candidate is writing spontaneous responses or memorized and borrowed ones.  Hence, candidates are reminded not to memorize sentences using words which are given in the books etc.
