SUCCESS STORY

A fat kid with thick glasses on his eyes always looked up to the Indian Armed Forces and had a spark to join as an officer one day.
I lost 35kg and got my eyes operated on to get into the armed forces, and 7 attempts later I got recommended for SSC TECH  from 24 SSB Bangalore.

SCREENING:
I was able to do all 50 questions in both rounds of OIR as I practiced a lot for it, as instructed by Lt Col P.Balasubramanian Sir.
In Picture Perception there was a image of a helicopter and it looked like a rescue mission. I made the story on the same theme, the story I made was highly focused on the action that was taking place.
24 of us got screened in out of 220.

Psychology:
I attempted 12 TAT stories, 60 WAT, and 46 SRT, I was very satisfied with my performance as I was able to develop the mindset of an officer as I was guided Lt Col P.Balasubramanian Sir, he helped me a lot to understand the true meaning of the word Officer.

Interview:
My interview was scheduled just after the Psychology test. This time before the interview I was very calm and relaxed as I was well prepared beforehand for any question. My interview was based on my PIQ, also there were questions related to current affairs, rapid fire questions, and what I want from life.

GTO:
In previous attempts my performance in GT was very poor, but with time I understand the requirement for the task, and performed very well this time, I was leading the group from the front, I was confidently addressing the questions asked by GTO during the task, I was very cooperative and my involvement in the task was very high.

Conference:
My conference lasted for 5-6 minutes. The President asked me about how I was feeling, how was my performance in the SSB this time, I answered the questions in a thoughtful manner.
After the conference 3 of us got recommended out of 24. 2 of us were repeaters and one was fresher.
In the end I want to say getting recommended is just a matter of self awareness, if you know what you are and if you know what you have to be, you will get there.
